Using technology and tools in a business can streamline and automate various processes, saving time and resources. It can also increase efficiency and productivity and provide a competitive advantage by enabling businesses to access and analyze data, make informed decisions, and respond to market trends and customer needs in real-time.

In addition, using technology and tools can help businesses to stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and innovations. It can allow them to scale and grow more quickly.

Technology and tools can help businesses operate more effectively and efficiently and help them achieve their goals and objectives.

1. GoHighlevel.

GoHighlevel started as a digital marketing lead generation tool but has evolved into much more.

Developed initially for Digital Advertising Agencies, the application features a CRM (Content Relationship Manager), Landing Pages, Communication Platform that includes SMS messenger, Telephone Dialer, Voice Mail Drop, Social Media Manager, and much more.

This software focuses on Digital Advertising Agencies, does have a learning curve, and isn't for the timid; however, when you have it dialed in, it's awesomely amazing!

2. Grammarly

Grammarly is a tool that helps you write clearly and accurately by checking your grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and from my point of view, it is an advanced version of spell check. However, it not only checks my spelling but also provides suggestions on sentence structure.

Grammarly has a free and paid version. I started on the free version and used it for about a year before upgrading to the paid version because I thought the upgrade would be useless.

Boy, was I wrong. I use Grammarly daily, and I'll never return to the free version. It's that valuable to me.

As a point of reference, I'm using Grammarly as I write this post.

3. Slack

Slack is a communication platform for teams to collaborate, share information, and communicate in real time. I work with people worldwide, and slack allows me to communicate and stay connected with them in real time.

I have people I work with worldwide; thus, many different time zones and slack allow me to stay connected with them.

4. Zoom

Zoom is a videoconferencing platform that allows users to communicate and collaborate remotely through video and audio calls, screen sharing, and messaging.

I have been a zoom user since it debuted in 2011, but it wasn't until the COVID pandemic that propelled zoom into verb status.

Not all listing or buyer consultations need to be face-to-face. If you implement zoom into your busienss, you will save a tremendous amount of time that you can reallocate into business-generating activities.

Zoom offers a free account and allows up to 45-minute meetings on the free version. Therefore, there is no reason why you shouldn't have an account.

5. Loom

Loom is a video communication platform allowing users to record and share video messages. I use zoom because it's an excellent screen capture software, and the videos are available immediately.

I use loom primarily to record technical how-to instructions to my team.

6. Google Workspace (formerly G Suite)

Google Workspace is a collection of cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools developed by Google. It includes various tools and services, such as Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Calendar, and Google Meet.

I have migrated all of my tools to Google.

First, I have migrated all of my domains from GoDaddy to Google Domains, and second I have all of my email accounts hosted with Google Workspace; think of this as professional Gmail hosting.

The domain hostings services for my .com domains are $12 per year with Google Domains, which GoDaddy was charging me around $18, and my email hosting with Google Workspace is $6 per month.

Overall, there are three reasons I migrated my tools to Google.

  1. Saving Money. Hosting my .com domains is $12 per year, whereas GoDaddy was around $18, and my professional email hosting built on Gmail costs $6 per year per email account. Comparatively, it's a cost-saving 30-50%.

  2. All-inclusive suite of products. I get access to the entire suite of Google products with my account. I use Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Google Analytics, Google Postmaster, and others daily, which are all included in my $6 per month fee.

  3. SEO and Search Advantages. Google has more than 95% of the world's search traffic, and I believe using Google tools provides me with an advantage in SEO and search.

7. Descript

Descript is a tool that allows users to transcribe, edit, and collaborate on audio and video recordings.

Because I create a lot of video content, I have increasingly begun using this tool.

Before being introduced to this software, I would use Final Cut Pro and Screenflow, and depending on the project, I still use these two softwares.

Descript allows me to transcribe my audio quickly and quickly edit based on the transcript, such as efficiently removing any filler words with ease.

8. Zapier

"You must automate to dominate."

Zapier is a platform that allows you to automate your workflow by connecting various web services and creating "Zaps" that trigger actions between them.

For instance, my lead generation is set up to be fully automated. When a lead comes in on one of my "Download Free Report" promotions, the report is automatically emailed to them, and a lead nurturing campaign is launched.

9. Canva

Canva is a graphic design platform that allows users to create professional designs using a drag-and-drop interface and a wide range of templates and design elements.

I grew up using Adobe Photoshop for video creation, and if I need to design something for print, I will still use it.

However, Canva allows me and my team to create graphic designs quickly.

For example, all of this blog's thumbnails are created using canva.
